In the third section, you’ll learn breathing techniques for labor and pushing, designed to support a smoother birth experience, reduce the risk of tearing, and help guide your baby’s arrival.

The postpartum period is a vital yet often overlooked part of the pregnancy journey. While much of the focus is placed on preparing for the baby, this comprehensive postpartum preparation class centers the needs of the birthing person and their support system.
This training is divided into three sections to help you feel supported during postpartum recovery and early parenthood. In the first section, you’ll receive postpartum education, learning what to expect after birth, from the immediate recovery phase to the weeks that follow. The second section focuses on postpartum healing, including physical recovery after childbirth, emotional well-being, and practical pain management strategies. In the third section, we cover newborn care, infant feeding (including breastfeeding support), and understanding your baby’s needs in the early weeks.
Additional topics include NICU preparation, navigating grief and loss, preparing siblings and pets, and adjusting to life with a newborn. For in-person sessions, you’ll also gain hands-on newborn care practice, including diapering and holding a baby using a realistic weighted doll.
